Pros

Some really passionate and hard-working individuals It is relatively easy to promote

Cons

Changes happen overnight without any consideration of how this may affect their employees or even a warning. You will often have to get used to a completely new system, only for it to be scrapped in a month or 2. You will find a meeting invite on your calendar to discuss changes a posteriori, if you are lucky. Their system is really disorganized and the fact that many things were obviously not planned properly from the get-go usually ends up causing problems for employees and translators alike

Thank you for your feedback. As a start-up, we need to be agile and open to change in order to try new things that will make improvements to the employee & client experiences. Completely understand how this can be frustrating and, as such, we continue to ask for instant feedback to help us course correct when needed. We are sorry your experience with us was not ideal and wish you all the best success in your future endeavors.

Love this. The internal tech stack getting a shoutout is especially fun to hear, our engineering and research teams put a lot into it. Noted on the coffee situation and the parking, both very real. As for SKO, it's something we've talked about internally and hope to bring back when the timing is right. Thanks for being part of the team.

Pros

There's a handful of hardworking people there that give their all and that go above and beyond, that are true problem solvers and these were the people that kept the company afloat.

Cons

The leadership team are incompetent. They don't know how to strategize or problem solve or make money. There were also a lot of teacher's pets because they did anything their told. Everyone is overworked and overwhelmed and underpaid. The company is already lean and they're still finding ways to trim the fat, soon there'll be nothing left. Also, if you're a customer or applicant reading this be sure to ask when the last time this company was profitable (the company is over 10 years old). Ask about the turnover rate here, so many quit after just being here for less than a month or two, one quit only after a week! Read what everybody else is saying about the company on Reddit or anywhere.

The people on the team who give their all and run at hard problems, you're right about them, they're the heart of what we do. Workload and morale are things we take seriously, and if anyone wants to share more about what they're experiencing, our People team is open to that conversation directly.
