I was hired as a product manager and my hiring manager set the expectation that there is a learning curve and it will take some time for me to be running projects independently. Despite minimal training, barely any communication from my manager, and almost no documentation to work with, I got the hang of things. I was fired after 2 months because apparently I wasn't up to standard - even though I delivered everything I was supposed and met every deadline. There was zero warning of my termination and not even any indication that I was doing poorly. It caught me completely out of the blue. This company is so disorganized that I found out I was let go by the IT guy, who Slacked me about equipment return. I didn't get a chance to learn, I didn't get a chance to correct myself, I didn't even know my manager had a problem with me. If I was a terrible employee, I would understand the decision but I learned a lot in my short tenure and was able to deliver with minimal support at the time of my firing. This organization is not looking to teach or develop its employees whatsoever.
