Liftoff Response
8yHi, I'm the CTO of Liftoff and lead the engineering team. I would like to respond to this review because I am quite confident that it is written by someone who has never worked at Liftoff, and either posted in error or maliciously. The reasons for this are:
- Only one ML Engineer has ever left Liftoff, and they were at Liftoff >1 year
- It contains several assertions that are factually incorrect, and which would be known to be so by anyone who's worked at Liftoff. In particular:
- We don't work on weekends (on the contrary we value work-life balance and working in a way that's long-term sustainable)
- We closely follow market benchmarks for compensation to make sure our pay and equity are always competitive
I also want to directly address some of the other points/allegations, because we view them as very important:
- Transparency: Transparency is one of our core values. For example, every quarter we have a "roadmap" all-hands meeting where Eng presents the roadmap for the quarter, Finance shares all our core financial numbers, and Mark our CEO discusses the broad direction and strategic topics.
- Gender discrimination: We strive to build a diverse community at work where people can be their authentic selves and feel accepted and included. We have zero tolerance for discrimination of any kind. A proof point for our success in this is that we were recently named the 8th best place to work in America by Inc. Magazine, which bases its ranking on anonymous surveys of all employees.
