Pros

Decent compensation and benefits. Occasional work-from-home opportunities.

Cons

LifeZette is a crapshow circus. What minimal employees they had were worked to the bone because management didn't want to spend money on bringing on new hires and help, which quickly burned people out. Absolutely ZERO work-life balance at all, as you'll be expected to surrender your evenings, weekends, and holidays pushing out garbage buzzword content in pursuit of more clicks. You'll be told things will improve. They will not. In fact, they'll probably replace you with someone willing to work for less. Management is God-awful: overpaid baby boomers making 6 figures who can barely open a PDF but seem to know how to do your profession better than you. Everything LZ does is geared towards profit, and at the end of the day, employees are an expendable resource despite having kept the company afloat through thick and thin over the years. I could not recommend this trash-heap company any less. Stay away.

Pros

LifeZette's top editor is a freelance writer's dream. I always feel like a valued and respected part of the team, even though I am not an employee. The managing editor is receptive to pitches and also provides great guidance on up-to-the-minute stories to cover. The writer-editor relationship feels collaborative, and is one I deeply value. I receive great feedback that has helped me improve my writing. Management is flexible and super-responsive.

Cons

LifeZette is a conservative outlet--it may not be a good match for those of other political persuasions.

Pros

If negotiated properly they offer great compensation and benefits (just be wary the teeny tiny print in which you give away your soul and first born to the devil incarnate).

Cons

The company has no integrity or culture. It's quite clear Laura Ingraham and affiliates are out to make some quick, clickable money. The company doesn't invest in its employees: should you mess up, you will not be offered no real constructive advice to move on, but instead will be fired. You will be expected to work nights, and weekends. The work will not be fulfilling. The entire operations runs off of the premise of hiring younger professionals that are unfortunately being used for their naivety and ability to pull all nighters, over and over again. Ingraham is impossible to work for, and her word is god: you will have no decision rights or support. Your paychecks will be late. The contractor's paychecks will be late.
