Pros

Okay basic job if living local in Cochrane AB. A job experience / resume content while seeking better job.

Cons

* Second others comments family members not discipled for mistakes; company requires professional management; low trust and overbearing control behaviours by owners (scarcity mindset). * Fantastic products, perhaps best-in-class for Canada. Other business success criteria laughably weak or painfully absent. See Rich Dad's Business Investment (BI) Triangle. * CFO completely stuck in "parent" mode, see outside topic "Transactional Analysis". * CFO predominantly works "in" the business, not "on" the business; repeatedly complains of long work hours yet insists on performing "clerk" work that CFO could-should be delegating to other staff. * Job scope creep from tasks inside warehouse to include cleaning front office & bathrooms; using house-grade (sidewalk) "electric shovel" to clear all winter snow from front (8 car) and rear (14 car) parking lots. First job held were cleaning did not have dedicated staff or outsourced separate from production staff. * "Bait & switch" (lower) pay rates between interview/ initial contracting & post-probation rates offered in separate employment contracts.

Pros

Good work-life balance if you live in Cochrane: M-F 9-5.

Cons

Low pay. Family business- family members are given preferential treatment. Management does not deal with poor performance of family members. Management is consumed with paranoia that other organizations are against them. Bathroom has no sound proofing and is very close to everyone's workspace. Time card unit is overkill and archaic for an office of 7 people. When you leave for lunch you are asked where you are going and what you are doing.
