Toxic environment and horrible leadership - Buyer Lids Employee Review

This company is severely lacking in leadership and quite frankly is struggling to keep its head above water. Everything about my time here revolves around poor management, lack of direction, and lack of ethics. The problems start with the top and trickle down to middle management. The leaders are more concerned about feeling important than they are about taking care of their people. Empty promises are often made in order to manipulate people into doing what they want them to do. Decisions on everything from promotions to who to do business with are made based on favoritism or personal relationships and it leads to a very dark work environment. Upper management enjoys taking part in spreading gossip and works to build division among the different members of their team. The hours are long and if you don't spend your life at work you are looked down upon. Workload is often unmanageable and help is never given even when its asked for. Most of the people who work here are overworked, stressed, and underpaid.
