Pros

Excellent robust benefits, flexibility, employee resource groups, volunteer program, great people, hybrid scheduling.

Cons

Moving to a new career group, ie underwriting is so competitive and made more difficult when they focus on hiring new grads vs hiring within. For example for one paying for a training program 225 internal applicants, 12 for interviews, 2 were hired and the other positions (unsure how many but I've heard at least 40) were all new grads with no insurance experience.

Pros

Work from home, only in office twice a month

Cons

-Extremely high paced -Too many claims. Caseload is way too big. -Super stressful having to deal with customers. A lot of them don’t understand insurance or what their policy covers so you will constantly deal with pissed off uninformed insureds -metrics are unrealistic and unattainable. You need to have a 98% answer rate but at the same time you have a million cases and people calling you constantly so this is impossible to achieve. On top of that you have to actually document and determine liability. -Awful work life balance
