Toxic culture, no value placed on development - Consultant Lexington Communications Employee Review

Pros

They have some recognisable client names and some of the work is interesting. Work life balance is good because they don't get much client work.

Cons

They do not value junior staff and do not recognise the value of developing them in any way. Junior staff not invited to pitches or client meetings so can't even learn on the job, never mind official training. If you ask for training they hold it against you in appraisals as one of your weaknesses, Very toxic workplace culture - bad account management practices at senior levels but no way to provide feedback on senior colleagues (eg: promising actions to clients, not delivering on them, not even remembering the things they overpromised on). No transparency around promotions. People seem to stay because they can't find jobs elsewhere. Very poor pay and benefits.

Pros

Good range of clients, sometimes interesting work, occasional opportunities for responsibility. Relatively ok exit opportunities.

Cons

Poor culture, siloed teams, you’re either ‘in’ or ‘out’ of favour. Poor pay compared to industry standard with no set bands, some people make a lot more whilst being same rank, slow promotion timelines. High turn over of staff.
