Pros

Good to help kids and authors, you can feel good about the end user

Cons

Disrespectful environment, rude people employed for a decade or more, extremely demanding on your time, constantly changing expectations, little appreciation for hard work, no loyalty whatsoever - at least one employee had a serious mental health breakdown from the stress at this business and needed to quit. Several others quit specifically because of how management treated them. The new CS manager is not interested in protecting the team at all, and only interested in appeasing dictatorial managers. You will not receive feedback, you will just be let go if they decide they don't like one email you send after many years. Terrible place to work.

Pros

The marketing team and its VP are the best folks I've had the pleasure of working with in my professional career. There is a lot of trust coming from the VP as well as their publicist that really grants ownership of projects and tasks. They freely allow you to work from home and they offer very flexible hours. As an intern, they allowed me to prioritize my class schedule and work around it. The management is very caring and always made sure I was learning something.

Cons

It was a temporary internship! I would have stayed in the marketing department if granted the opportunity, there were no positions vacant at the time of my internship ending. It is a slightly small team, which can be a problem if workload increases but everyone is very understanding.
