This is a good stepping stone for fresh IT graduates or junior developers looking to gain real-world experience. You are given a high level of trust to take full ownership of major projects, such as full-stack platform migrations and CMS integrations. Because you have to build things from the ground up, it forces you to learn quickly, problem-solve independently, and build a very solid technical portfolio. 1. Below-Market Compensation Structure: The pay is significantly below market standards for IT professionals. Developers are engaged as ABN independent contractors at a low hourly rate (around $23/hr), which means there is no superannuation, no paid leave, and no job security, despite the working conditions resembling a standard employee role. 2. The CEO is not at all trustworthy. He says one thing, does another thing. You can't even trust his written emails, sent from his business mail ID, which he admits to sending. Salary is almost always delayed, and the CEO is the only one with authority to disburse salary. And every month, he is nowhere to be seen when payday is approaching. When asked about the regular delay in payments, the response would be "Be happy that at least eventually we are paying. Lot of companies aren't paying and shutting shop eventually. People who can't manage their finances just due to a 2 week delay in salary have no right to complain." What about a company who can't manage their own finances that they have to delay salary of every employee by two weeks? That is normal and expected apparently, but employees are the scapegoats who have to deal with it. Such callousness from a CEO is not expected. Coming to the product, it is a mediocre product at best. Most of the video recordings have lot of errors and the people who speak during the video do it in such a monotonous way that people fall asleep viewing the video. All sorts of efforts are being made to "spice up" the videos by using additional animations and other gimmicks, with little to no focus on improving the content. When our team pointed out this, the CEO was quite rude and dismissive, saying you guys know nothing, I have got great testimonial from 2 students (out of over 5000, and who happen to be his relatives) The worst incident I remember is that the CEO made every employee pay 50 rupees to watch him and his deputy play a match of table tennis. This has to be heights of narcissistic behaviour.
