Pros

Goal of the company is strong, helping students achieve higher standards is a worthy cause.

Cons

I have never seen a company change directions more than LSI. This causes extreme disruption and demotivation of employees. Management speaks poorly about one another behind backs. No one will speak up to CEO but then disagree with him as soon as a meeting is done. There is no trust, there is no leadership but continual evening and weekend work IS expected. I have seen strong educators weep under the coward leadership of this company.

Pros

- This company has a strong social mission and the CEO/founder is very passionate about accomplishing it. - I feel like my ideas are heard and that I have a voice both in my department (the Marketing team) and in the company as a whole - I think the leadership and employees as a whole are very committed to increasing diversity in our workplace. - Amazing work/life balance. I feel like I can work hard and still have time to support my family's needs outside of work.

Cons

- Because I work remotely/at the corporate office, I don't get a chance to physically see the children and teachers that are impacted by our products and services

Pros

Working at LSI is never boring. There are always opportunities to learn new skills and be involved in new projects, regardless of your background or previous training. Easy going environment. While you'll face people you don't like in every company, LSI seems to consistently have a staff filled with fun people that are easy to work with. Many employees are self-directed, which, if you're comfortable in that environment, is great. COO can show a bit of an eccentric personality at times, but is personable and engaging. Will make time for anyone in the company. Responds well to honest feedback, including direct criticism. Personally, I love working at LSI. It's never a slog to get through a day. I never feel like I'm watching the clock or just working to get to Friday. I hope to work for years to come, and honestly, I'll most likely be here until I'm shown the door.

Cons

Could use more feedback. At times, I feel like the only way I know my work is of an acceptable quality is that I still have my job. Getting a pay increase is a fight. Salary increases are merit-based only, so if you're not adding additional value or bringing new skills, your compensation is stagnant. Over time, with cost of living increases, you may be doing excellent work but facing a decreasing wage. Communication about personnel changes is poor. Role changes, new hires, departures are usually discovered by chance.
