Pros
After 16 months of unemployment, I thought I had a job!
Cons
Gave me a false sense of having employment! They hired me at $11.00 per hour and told me that there would be about $24K per year or $2,000 income per month. I was given 1.5 hours (calculated by them of average time to complete task) of work per day that would (actually) take 9 to 12 hours to complete. I would be working all day but would actually only receive $15.00 for the entire day, once I received my paycheck. Many weeks I would put in 40 to 50 hours but receive only $100.00 or less when the two week paycheck was issued. Oh my wife was mad! Twice, she accused me of having an affair because I had been gone (out in the field working) 40 to 50 hours and the paycheck resulted in only 10 hours of pay per week. Then she traveled with me one entire week and saw the truth! Lawrence Merchandising estimates jobs at 30 minutes when they take 2 hours to complete. A person can not even introduce themselves, sign the timesheet or vendor log book and fill out the survey in 30 minutes, let alone do the job itself or the work needed! So once you start the actual work, normally the performance of the task is on what they call "my time" or essentially for free.
