Pros

I've worked for Lawline for 3 years and feel like there are so many pros. Here are just a few of my top ones. - Senior leaders constantly solicit feedback from employees to make changes. They genuinely listen and consider feedback and often implement those changes. - They invest in growth. It's nice to work somewhere that values putting resources into helping things grow and improve. - Fully remote/ work from anywhere/ flex work schedule - Great work/life balance from the top down. Leadership is just as non-work/family-focused as the employees are and makes an effort to show that work/life balance is important which encourages employees to feel comfortable to do the same. -Challenging projects and tasks that allow employees to develop new skills -Lots of opportunities for personal and professional development - Great efforts to bring remote employees together to establish close-knit culture even though we are not in person - Always working to add new benefits and added perks - Outside of performance increases and promotions Lawline also stays on top of industry compensation averages for employees and adjusts as necessary to make sure we are paid fairly for our roles

Cons

-It sometimes feels like there is a heavy emphasis on public speaking/being outspoken which can feel daunting for employees who are not as outspoken - Since we're a small company sometimes one negative person/employee can really hurt the environment

Pros

Best reason to work at Lawline? This company provides an incredible opportunity to realize your potential and build your professional experience. I began at Lawline as a Customer Support Specialist in 2012 and it was my first professional role after graduating from college. Within this role, I learned about the product and company very quickly from constantly communicating with all members of the organization internally and assisting customers in every type of way. After just a few months I was given the opportunity to assist with marketing responsibilities including email and search engine marketing. Over the course of a year, this role grew into overseeing all marketing and sales operations. In this flat organization, leadership is not centralized, but rather is expected from each individual employee. Everyone is expected to contribute to the growth of the company, which allows all employees the opportunity to share their ideas and engage in a meaningful way towards the growth of the company. The culture here values creativity and supports growth while demanding hard work. If you are looking to grow as an individual and as a professional, Lawline is a great place to kickstart your career...or continue it's growth.

Cons

Lawline is a small company trying to grow. Not much is set in stone and things change fast and often. If you are adaptable to change and can pivot easily, then this can lead to opportunity. If not, then it can be very frustrating.

As you discussed, we are a small and growing company. We have embraced “Grow” as one of our five core values because it’s something we feel we should always be doing; as a 10-year-old company, or as a 50-year-old company. We grow by embracing new technologies in our production studio, by forming new relationships with our growing list of faculty members and strengthening our old ones, by expanding the amount of quality content and courses we provide and the states to whom we can provide them, and at the heart of all of this growth is our people, who are seeking out this growth for the larger benefit of the company. Looking forward, we’re investing in education and training programs for the entire team for next year, and are planning on providing our Lawliners with every tool they should have to learn, grow, and succeed as individuals as well as employees.
