Pros

Mediocre discount at stores Getting a pay cheque

Cons

Less than a year at Laura Canada head office and I can't believe I've lasted as long as I have. There is no training. This is the most toxic, worst work place I've ever experienced. I have never been yelled at daily, and had such unrealistic expectations put on me, and then micromanaged to a point where I don't feel comfortable doing anything without manager approval, then get yelled at because I'm not doing it properly even with approval. The only thing this company wants is perfection, and even if you give that its not good enough. Working long hours, so much overtime, to try to complete an impossibly long to do list will still leave you in a place where you constantly feel like you're at risk of losing your job. The turn over is so incredibly high, even on my first day we we're saying goodbye to someone moving on, and that never stopped - every week someone else was gone or fired. It's not surprising because the mental impact of working at a place where you're made to feel stupid and not good enough every single day is not sustainable for anyone. People gossip and make rude, undermining comments in your direction at best with a smile on their face - at worst flat out yelling and asking what's wrong with you. Managers will give you incorrect information, then act like you're the one who is going to run the company into the ground because you weren't given the correct information. The family is aloof and uninterested, never friendly. They are so detached from the day to day. Projects are either late before they've been given to you, or drag out for years. I've worked on projects that we're opened years ago but keep being shut down by the family because they don't know what they want, or have no concept of how things work, or worse, they want it last week, and now they're uninterested. We we're asked how to improve company culture and assured it would be private, while also being coached that the family was *incredibly* generous to us and we shouldn't find any fault in their direction. This place is so incredibly broken. Everyone in the head office generally has a scowl on their face. I can't believe how people are treated - like they're sub human. I thought they'd wonder why so many people left, went off on stress leave, or refused to come into the office, but they don't seem to care at all. HR is useless. They say you can go to HR to ask for help but nothing is ever done. No diversity or inclusion. A team of mostly white women pretending to be inclusive. I've been in meetings where women's body's were discussed for campaigns in disgusting terms.

Pros

Theyre responsible with the payments

Cons

What They offer It’s really different to what the company is. They’re really rude With employees, they are a company that changes staff all the time, they carry out mass layoffs without justification, the company is governed under a PCOS that does not help patients they only care about the money. They don't see people, they don't have ethics. Since you start they have you in the process with the risk of dismissal, the pressure of the bosses is very uncomfortable although the work is simple. If you are looking for something permanent, this is not your place
