Lots of issues at the Launch site I was working from, including racism which was raised to management who responded that staff, individually, should work on it and figure it out. I was bullied in the presence of others by a colleague and it went unchecked and nil action was taken by leadership. Another staff member helped me to another room to create distance between the bully and myself. Clients were denigrated by the policies created by the service, e.g. removal of disposable plates and cups for the benefit of the environment. A policy that requires our most marginalised citizens to bend to the will of people with a much larger carbon footprint than any client residing in emergency accommodation, many of whom were traumatised and struggling with a lack of appropriate supports. They required staff to effectively ignore suicidal clients who were engaging in self harm, (the clients were required to essentially figure it out for themselves, and staff were prevented from providing emotional support, as laid out in the policy).

Laughably bad senior leadership. Like another level of bad.
