Pros
This is a great place for internal auditors who truly want to learn and grow in the profession. The HOD is very willing to teach and actively cultivates a teamwork environment. Compared to other listed companies that focus more on quantity, the audit scope here is broader and emphasizes quality. You will also gain strong exposure to risk-based auditing, which is very valuable for career development. Last but not least, the bonuses here are really attractive.
Cons
For our department, I honestly don’t see major downsides. Some people may find the outstation travel challenging, since audits can require staying at the site for 2–3 weeks at a time (including weekends, though not working on weekends). However, after completing fieldwork, we return to HQ for 1–2 months to prepare reports and plan the next audit. In fact, the overall travel requirement here is less than in many other listed companies, where auditors may be away two weeks every month throughout the year.
