Pros
Lake Butler Hospital, Lake Butler Family and Pediatric Clinic, and the LBH Professional Center are filled with people who genuinely care, not only for patients, but for employees too. During my time there, I had the privilege of working with leaders, clinicians, staff, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, lab and radiology teams, emergency services, many other departments, and community partners who give so much of themselves to patients, families, coworkers, and the people of Union County. The work felt meaningful because it was never just about marketing, events, signage, or communication. It was about helping a hospital show up for its community, tell its story, support its employees, and remind people that compassionate care still exists close to home. I will always be grateful for the trust, support, opportunities, and relationships I experienced there.
Cons
For some, this may be a con, but for many who work here, it is also part of what makes Lake Butler Hospital special. Some roles require wearing many hats, stepping outside of your normal job description, and helping wherever you are needed. In my experience, this creates a strong sense of teamwork, purpose, and ownership. When everyone is willing to pitch in, you feel like your work matters and that you are part of something bigger than yourself.
