Pros

This is a fairly small company with a lot of growth and change, and there can be opportunities for promotion and to enact changes within brands there. Many positions are remote, and remote employees are well-integrated into the company.

Cons

Salaries tend to be low, and a promise made by HR during the hiring process regarding benefits was not kept. Some members of upper management are, frankly, not very good at their jobs or even especially knowledgeable about the industries of the brands they manage, which can lead to terrible decisions being made. The organization talks a good game about valuing people, but has laid off high-performing staff without any attempt to instead move them into other positions within the company.

Thank you for taking the time to leave this review. We understand that while very rare for our company, layoffs can be incredibly difficult and are decisions that we do not take lightly. We appreciate this feedback and are always trying to improve.

Pros

There aren't that many jobs in media so get 'em while they're available, I guess.

Cons

Management is wall-to-wall scumbags. Contrary ideas will not be heard and upper levels of the company will lie, undercut employees, and fire them without a second thought. Widespread rumors that the entire staff of one of the magazines LabX owns was canned or forced out under the guise of "falling traffic" but it was really because the director didn't like them.

We are sorry to hear that you had a negative experience with us. We fully recognize that while rare, making the decision to let staff go is one that we do not take lightly and is incredibly difficult. So again, we are sorry that you had a negative experience but wish you nothing but the best.
