Pros

I really appreciate how despite being a virtual company, everyone is extremely professional and responsive. All the processes at Labroots (onboarding/training, communication, team meetings, etc.) are handled efficiently and professionally, and I feel like I am a contributing and valued member of the team. Labroots also has a great work-life balance, with the whole team respecting working hours, weekends, etc. while being productive and available during working hours. I also appreciate the generous holiday vacation, as it helps us all recharge and be ready to get back to work refreshed. I also enjoy working at a company that is the leader in its industry and that works with high-profile science/health companies.

Cons

Not sure if this has been done in the past, but occasional all-company meetings/touch-bases would be helpful to offer more transparency on how the company is doing/where it is headed and to get an overview of the goals and achievements of each team. I would also benefit from more cross-training within my team (and also from other related teams) to get more exposure and build my skills in different areas. On a smaller scale, it would be helpful to set and track goals (both personal and collective) with my team every quarter.

Pros

I value that I'm not micromanaged and have autonomy. I value the number of holidays and lenience when I need to book a holiday at the last minute. I value the relaxed work atmosphere

Cons

No, but if I had the opportunity to review the other departments and everyone's responsibilities maybe I'd have some input there.

Pros

"I am a person that naturally works hard to meet a deadline - I feel this is something that is respected by both my supervisor as well as those in other teams/levels of management. I also enjoy the product we are making, the market it serves, and feel some pride in making the product better over time. "

Cons

There isn't a whole lot in terms of culture or interactivity between teams. Teams can feel very siloed off from each other. It can be a little strange to work for at a company for many years without ever knowing much of what other team members work on or what value they are adding in a company where every role is incredibly important for the company to succeed.
