Pros

Coworkers are cool. That's it.

Cons

Everything about this place. Pay is insulting. Job is the equivalent of suffering. I've developed serious physical and mental health issues working here. It feels like being stuck in an abusive relationship. Higher management will act like they are there for you but despite telling them I'm depressed to come to work to their face, they basically gave me the run around and eventually said it's my fault because I chose to work here so maybe I should find a different feild. I ended up blaming myself at first, thinking well yes I chose to work here and put myself here and I make little money because I don't sell more...but I sell a lot. And no matter how much I sell its not enough. It's never enough. All they care about is the numbers. YOU are just a number to them. Everything is micro managed but rules and expectations change every 5 seconds so no matter what you are cornered and given endless tasks to do. Pay is disgusting to say the least. It's so bad I've practically gone in debt but was told how much money I will make working here when I was hired and was promised so much wealth and care. There is no room for advancement, and they will lead you on to believe you can get there. Training is by far the worst in any industry I've ever worked in. I have lost my soul here and I want to add that the amount of paper they waste here is of disgusting quantities. I've been trying to find a new job because unfortunately I can't afford to quit. I CANT WAIT to be out of this torture chamber. AVOID this place if you have any respect for yourself and your sanity. Prepare to be disappointed by empty promises. Id like to point out that I tried hard to like the job or convince myself that I did. But everything that happens here built up so much resentment that I've broken down. For every good there was overwhelming amounts of bad to overwrite it.

Cons

Everything about this place is toxic. The pay is insulting, and the job is the equivalent of suffering. I genuinely developed mental health issues while working here. It felt like being stuck in an abusive relationship. Management acts like they're there to support you, but they'll throw you under the bus the second the District Manager gets involved, the DM is always involved. After many years with the company and no real opportunity for advancement, I finally gave up. I was consistently one of the stronger sellers, but it never mattered. No matter how much you sell, it's never enough. All they care about are the numbers and forcing employees to push their so-called "Complementary Design" program. The problem is that it isn't really complementary, customers are often pressured into buying most, if not everything that's presented, and associates get in trouble if they don't book appointments with customers who management believes have the "true potential to buy." It's less about helping customers and more about chasing metrics. At the end of the day, you're just another number to them. Everything is micromanaged, and it's encouraged by the Southern California DMs. Rules and expectations change constantly, making it impossible to keep up. You're expected to complete endless tasks, many of which should be handled by management, like dealing with customer complaints or assigning work to other employees. At that point, what's the purpose of having managers? The pay is terrible. I was told I'd make great money, but that couldn't have been further from the truth. They changed the commission structure from a flat 2% to a tiered system that goes up to 5%, claiming, "The more you sell, the more you make." In reality, it's misleading. I was barely getting by and actually went into debt while working there. They'll also lead you to believe there's room for advancement, but don't count on it. I spent years waiting for opportunities that never came. One last thing, the amount of paper this company wastes is honestly shocking. Toward the end, I stopped caring. Every day I hoped they'd fire me so I could collect unemployment while I got my life back. Instead, I realized they didn't deserve another day of my time. I walked away for a different job that actually paid less because my mental health and peace of mind were worth more. Avoid this company if you value your sanity or self-respect. Be prepared for constant pressure, empty promises, and disappointment.
