Profit-Driven Culture with Inadequate Staffing and Poor Client Care - Case Manager La Jolla Recovery Employee Review

Pros

Free meals are provided during shift.

Cons

I had a deeply unsatisfactory experience working here. The company is not focused on providing solutions for clients, which is extremely concerning in a field that demands care and compassion. Instead of prioritizing client well-being, the focus seems to be on profit, driven by an owner more concerned with money than quality care. While working at the 6-bed inpatient facility, I was often the only staff member on site, which made it impossible to take breaks or have an uninterrupted 30-minute lunch. The lack of adequate staffing not only affected my ability to recharge but also raised concerns about safety and quality of care for clients. It was a challenging and unsustainable work environment. Management was unresponsive to staff concerns, which further compromised the standard of care we were able to provide. I cannot recommend this place to anyone who values ethics and quality client care.

Cons

Absolutely no work to life balance for upper management but I have heard that is much improved now.
