Pros

The team/management are so supportive in everything you do. They push you to your own limits and then push you even further to get the best work from you. Unlike other internships, LRT Sports genuinely wants you to succeed in everything you do. So, if there is an area in marketing or business development that you want to take a crack at they tell you to go for it. Develop a plan of attack and GO GET IT. No idea is too big or too small. The encouragement not only from management but from the mentors and other interns is AMAZING. There is so much support, passion, and drive to help the next generation of athletes.

Cons

None, this is literally the best internship that a student-athlete could ask for. Even this the COVID-19, LRT Sports hasn't missed a step. They adapted the internship and have been able to be successful and help the interns grow.

Pros

I worked initially as an intern then stayed on to mentor the next group of interns. Keirsten and Tara are wonderful. I learned so much in my time here and made some awesome friends amongst my fellow interns. I also was able to get 4 class credits for this internship which made my senior spring semester much easier.

Cons

Do not work here if you’re unmotivated. The work is fair and Keirsten and Tara will help you if you ask, but don’t take advantage of their kindness and don’t slack off. This was not an issue for me but it was for several fellow interns

Pros

I was able to grow with LRT Sports from being an intern to running and growing a department that played a crucial role in helping to grow the business. Keirsten and Tara constantly challenged me to step out of my safe zone. The ’open door’ policy allowed me to feel comfortable enough to bring my ideas to the table and develop a plan. I am fortunate to have earned my role and work with such a caring team. The nature of the job also allows people to meet lifelong friends and to network with individuals I may have never crossed paths with.

Cons

I don’t have any. Depending on the type of person you are, the remote aspect of the job can be challenging, but it is effective. You have to be motivated and disciplined enough to set a schedule for your self and get the most out of your time.
