Pros

You do get to work remotely for some of these roles. But certainly not fully remote where you don’t have to leave the house.

Cons

The atmosphere is amongst the most toxic I’ve ever witnessed. Out of a training class of 50 there are 2 left. LHH is what is referred to as a “hire and fire” company. They bring people on in bulk expecting a large percentage to leave without warning soon after starting and the rest are let go within a year. The management, the training, the job duties, the entire company is defunct. After a recent merger with the Adecco group, LHH has portrayed themselves as the “executive search” side of the business. In only a few short years LHH’s largest competitor is not Robert Half, but the Adecco group themselves. That’s right you are reading that correctly, the partner companies do exactly the same thing and are competing against each other. Withholding business from each other, stealing business from each other, even throwing away business entirely just to make sure the other side doesn’t get a win. The temp market has slowed down, so the what do they do to the employees that oversee the temp business? No they don’t refocus them to perm business, they fire countless employees without warning because the market isn’t ripe for temp work. This is a company that finds a way to cut you out come hell or high water. You’ll never feel like you belong, the employees that have been with the company for 10+ years coming over from a sister branch after the merger are treated like royalty and they act as such. Very much a steal from the poor and give to the rich mentality. Avoid at all costs until they have realigned as a company and begin to put the focus on employees. Robert half has absorbed over 100 alumni from LHH because of the horrid work environment. Think about that.. Their supposed largest competitor is going to their employees and telling them “I know what the environment is like over there and I think you should come work for us for more money and a more stable environment”. I wouldn’t touch Robert half but goodness does is speak volumes that they know the environment is so bad that with a simple phone call they can get someone to jump ship without a second thought. My team of 10 lost 5 employees in the first 6 months. 5 employees in the last 5 days. Mass layoffs, budget cuts, micromanaging, the whole nine yards. This is not a company you retire with, this is a company you say yes to while you look for something better. The compensation is worse than a full time food and beverage role. Looking at 55k poor benefits, and a commission structure that sets you up for failure followed by a draw on your commissions so that you can continue to get the below average salary.

Pros

None to speak of except no longer working here. I was at the top of my game until this place destroyed my future.

Cons

Exploitative WFH culture that weaponizes visibility. 1.5+ hour nonsense “meetings” of managers belittling you while fanning their own superiority and focusing on short sighted optics. Recruiting, many sales areas and pricing are clown cars of bad management. Don’t ever expect to be fairly compensated or invested in any capacity regardless of how well you perform or what they promise to manipulate you. These issues are entrenched due to moral hazard. Another reviewer rightfully said, “You will need therapy during and after employment” but they will not pay you enough to afford it. “Even if you do a great job if you are not a favorite you will have a difficult time here. It doesn’t matter if you’re doing your job if you are not accepted, however I think that’s their strategy,” said another reviewer and to add to that, credit for your work if arduous or brilliant will go to someone else, and they will leave you with crumbs of recognition for work that required no business school degree to double down on hiding what you had to offer. A brilliant senior lead that brought in millions and recently departed described being treated in meetings as “little girl go sit in the corner.” It’s spot on.
