Pros

On site staff in my local office was hard working and overall excellent colleagues

Cons

There is no gratitude or loyalty from management. I worked there for over three years. 8 months into my tenure, I was charged to keep the laboratory running by working 11-12 hour shifts as the other two project managers left the company and the lab director (more on that in a bit) was out on family leave. About 9 months later, the lab director left the company and I was given the responsibilities of the director in addition to the responsibilities I already had. I was given no salary increase and a minimal title bump that was below the exiting director. It should also be said that I had the same education and 3 years more work experience than that exiting director. The worst part of this all is that a year and a half later, despite presiding over a 200+% increase in work in that laboratory, myself and the other senior staff of the laboratory were unceremoniously laid off. There is no loyalty to the employees from senior management nor was there any concern over the NA customers that currently did work with this location.

Pros

Average pay for the area. Very good health benefits (low premium) and okay work life balance. Coworkers fairly chill with the one or two toxic person. Opportunities to cross train and learn new skills if that is your desire.

Cons

Workload uneven between shifts depending on shifting prioritizations on batches. Dead end, no route for career advancement. Cross training is a stopgap measure to cover for department personnel shortages.
