Pros

This company is a great opportunity to get introduced to a full-time position in Canada. If you don't know, LED Roadway Lighting is an established luminaire company that has been around for years, and Liveable Cities was the subdivision that was recently opened up. So there is a balance of startup culture and an established business model. It is a great first step for students coming straight out of school who want to gain experience in a professional role. The coworkers are very laid back so adjusting is very easy. Some other pros: -Hybrid System -They are very flexible with when you are in and out of office.

Cons

Most of my cons come from the marketing department specifically, as I cannot speak for other departments. If one has an issue they need to vocalize to hr, I've come to learn that most of the time it will be brushed aside or handled flippantly. Communication I would say seems to be the biggest issue for the marketing department along with inconsistant and confusing expectations, lack of organization, and weak management. As a woman, there was also a distinctive difference getting my voice to be heard in the male majority company vs. a male coworker. In short, while it is a great start the department restricts any hope in staying long-term.

Pros

Exceptional product design and great value on existing models Known as one of the best optics and engineered products Very talented lighting designer's, engineers and customer service teams

Cons

Sr. Management needs to do better at aligning Sales, Engineering and Operations Too much $ on R&D and not enough on product optimization or development Comp plan needs to be geared more towards attracting and retaining sales people
