Pros
The trainers are all great and are probably the only people on the HQ side of the operation, other than IT, that have an understanding of data and technology. There are many great consultants which hold up the image of the business, it's just a shame that the company fails to recognise this.
Cons
Where to start? The way this company is run and the complete disregard that senior leadership have for young professionals is disgusting and they should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. It is telling from responses to recent reviews just how much the company is trying to defend its now terrible image - one that it has very much earnt. It is also disappointing to see that it is part of someone's role to publicly defend a company that they know full well is taking advantage of young professionals. Funnily enough, this perfectly reflects how the company continuously defends itself rather than reflect on its treatment of consultants. Kubrick has very much become a lap-dog to its VC backers, chasing targets and unsustainable growth over the well-being of its employees and the company. Just as one example, they recently hired over 50 graduates and young professionals, despite their still being very low demand in the market, just to make them redundant several weeks later (yet they speak of their "prudent approach to hiring"). Kubrick have now been operating with a bench of ~20% for well over 12 months and it is a complete failure of senior leadership that they have failed to get this under control. when many other consultancies have recovered and are now operating at <10%. Unfortunately, Kubrick is run by people-people, not data and technology people, and this is reflected in their confused and directionless strategy. Communication across the business is very poor, especially in the accounts team where there appears to be a culture of leaving consultants in the dark regarding client opportunities. Consultants are very much treated like children that can not face and do not have an understanding of the real world. I genuinely would not recommend joining Kubrick to anyone. It appears they are now on a downward spiral where they will soon be left to fight for consulting scraps, with consultants suffering through an even worse experience and stalled career development - as usual suffering from the failure of leadership at the top.
