Pros
It used to be a really good company to work for... - employee discount - 8 hours a day maximum - 4 hours a day minimum - High pay - part of a union but they aren't great
Cons
- Low hours - Never in your department, always pulled to help out front end and pick up department - High turn over rate - High burnout - Too much drama and people testing the waters on what they can and can't get away with - Our union sucks, they don't do anything, can't even guarantee u will get ur job back if u get fired - Customer abuse and not enough protection against it - No security, company believes in promoting bad customer behavior by giving them whatever they want for free - Too many expectations and not enough help to accomplish it - Management changes ur schedule without ur knowledge or consent - They call u in on ur days off, lying about what shift they need u and what department it's in - They allow sketchy people to work there - Management stands around too much, barking orders instead of being a leader by stepping in to help - If u work or help in pick up, ur forced to stay after ur shift was supposed to end - They have u work off the clock without pay - Won't allow u to call off in a snow storm unless it's a level 3... So if u live in an area where they procrastinate to call snow levels like I do, all ur call offs will count against u - Call off point system that has massive flaws and loopholes - Good employees get treated like garbage. Good work goes unnoticed, thanked or recognized - If a customer has it out for u and tries to fight u on the sales floor, u will get fired on the spot regardless if u didn't engage and the union can't help u. - Company and management values customers over employees (I've heard them say this too)
