Pros

As a newer employee of Kopp Glass, I wanted to share that I had an excellent opportunity to learn about the company and its leadership before I signed on. The interview process was through but painless. It afforded me the opportunity to make an informed decision about my career. Once I was hired I had a well planned and executed onboarding that included meetings with all functional and operational leaders. I have felt very welcomed by everyone. The honeymoon period is now over and I am still extremely happy that I joined an organization that values its employee at every level. (Which is extremely rare.) They invest in education and career development and have a set of core values and standards which we are all held accountable to including the leadership team.

Cons

There are not a lot of people outside of the industry that know about us.

Pros

-collaborative and supportive environment -work/life balance -personable coworkers -employee recognition -good benefits, bonuses -career growth opportunities -individual offices -glass souvenirs

Cons

-slightly earlier office hours/waking up early -lack of some training materials -can be overwhelming at first (may be dependent on role/department or familiarity with the industry) -possible interfacility travel (not that bad) -lack of interfacility communication/coordination - Overall work culture is strong, but occasionally there are some certain male-dominant and/or generational culture/communication patterns that perpetuate in informal conversations.

Pros

There is a great atmosphere here among the employees. It is very familial since the company is on the smaller side and there are many employees who stay for 20+ years. No two days are the same and there is plenty of opportunity to grow and advance in your career.

Cons

Start time is 7 am which makes sense for the manufacturing environment but is earlier than most other jobs.
