Pros
I joined Kombo because I wanted to work at an ambitious startup, and it really delivered on that.
The interview process already set a good bar: straightforward, practical, and with an onsite at the end so you actually get to meet people and see the office.
Onboarding was very intense and fast-paced. You push to prod on day one, ship a real feature within the first couple of weeks.
The team is great, people are proactive and just fix things when they see them. Every week there are new improvements going out, even without anyone asking for them.
The product is also just nice to work with, both as a developer and as a user. And the company is genuinely AI-first, not just in engineering—there are more and more AI use cases popping up across the board.
Process-wise, it’s very lean. No unnecessary meetings or outdated frameworks, just focus on getting things done.
And the culture is fun. Everyone loves weekly memes, and the Christmas party was honestly one of the best I’ve been to.
Overall, it’s a great place if you like moving fast and actually building things.
Cons
Five days per week in the office might get tiring.
