It was close to my home. Short hours as a checker. Can save money if you are a beer fun.
Cons
I worked in the warehouse. Safety 0. You are in the middle of forklifts that run around you with pallets ( imagine visibility), drivers and helpers also may brake your legs with jacks and pallets. But you learn to survive for a flat 50 $ a day. Not even a can of beer for Christmas. No raise, ever as they don't know what word inflation means. Management in the warehouse is grumpy, period. No communication. My way or the highway to the limits of stupidity. One day I was checking my row and a driver did something stupid about 15 yards away behind a pallet. They fired him, and me too. Because I was supposed to have ultra violet vision and see what he did behind a pallet so I could stop him. I guess in order to look like they have the situation under control they throw man tantrums. Completely impossible for me to prevent what happened I was fired just because they fired the driver, even though they have cameras where they, I am sure reviewed what happened and how. Anyway, just my honest two cents. You will freeze out in the winter in the warehouse, its really cold.
