Pros

Brand and name recognition Quality products Long, rich history Diversity of products & services Global company Holiday shut down !

Cons

Many in HR leadership are locals who have been with the company for a long time....no new ideas or willingness to change Only thing innovative about the company are its K&B products External brand does not match internal brand RIF's have left the company operating at a bare bones level...people are burning out ...no one cared Leadership acted like they cared about engagement, but really did not. Many good employees left during 2010. Lack of understanding on how to retain good employees Associates are only willing to hear that they are not getting a merit increase for so long - especially when they are doing at least 2 people's jobs. Leadership in company is arrogant and seems to think that people will be lining up to come work for Kohler *Someone in HR Leadership actually looks for current associates resumes on CareerBuilder & Monster.com. If she finds you, she will set up a meeting to discuss. Who does that? Tacky & unprofessional.

Pros

If you are okay supporting a business that is focused on building wealth instead of developing skills and business understanding of objectives, then you will fit right in as long as you learn two important phrases "Great idea boss" and "Yes sir, I will carry out all of your plans so you will be recognized by upper management". DON'T ROCK THE BOAT!

Cons

I have already posted a con, but noticed another con that other posts point to. I read about disappointment of no remote work anymore. Remote work is difficult; you have a hard time building collaboration, teamwork and trust in a remote situation. But as I look at myself, I am on-site and love coming to work - would rather be around my team and have a constant pulse on the culture where I can address any issues immediately. Ask yourself, other than the loss of commute time and being in the comfort of your own home - why do people prefer to work from home. Many times, it can be due to avoiding the stress and anxiety that exists at work. Now ask yourself, what would make people want to be in the office versus at home. Whether you are remote or in person, not wanting to come into the office may be a sign that you are not happy and lacking fulfillment from your current circumstances.
