Pros
Discount is pretty good - especially if you have a Kohl's charge and get a 30% off coupon in the mail. You can use that in addition to your 15% employee discount and really save. Not a company wide pro - but at my store, other than management, I really work with some nice, fun people.
Cons
Low pay, especially for the amount of work that is piled on you. Some of it is even some serious back-breaking and heavy lifting work. Not easy to do. And it seem each year, heck each month now, they are doing everything they can to cut payroll even more. There's just never enough time to really get anything done. And it's true what everyone has said - all Kohls cares about is getting customers signed up for a Kohls charge. That's all they care about. It's the only thing I ever get praise for. I could spend my entire shift cleaning up a department, getting the clearance perfectly sized and organzied and barely get a shrug from management. However, if I got even one customer signed up for a Kohl's charge, while backing up on registers, they can't give me enough praise. It's so disheartening. And the worst is for the last six months, everytime we have price changes (putting items on clearance) we have to do it from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., instead of during the day like we used to. I didn't sign up for a graveyard job. It is so hard on me. And sometimes you are even scheduled to come back a few hours later for a closing shift! Sadists!
