Pros

The employee discount is great.

Cons

As a new employee for about a month I can tell you that the training was complelty inadequate. I "shadowed" someone for about 2 hours, just watching them, very little time actually getting to "do" the job. My next shift was a full day on the register with no other training. The computer training is a joke, there was very little information in the computer training courses that actually helped me when I started work. My orientation was sloppy, a quick tour around the building and some talk about recovery standards, that was it! My next shift was in Jewelry, no computer training, and about an hour with another person there. I still have no idea who all the supervisors are and what there names are. There are too many employees but too few shifts, I have rarely met the same co-worker more than once, there always seems to be different people. Too lax on attendance! Call ins are a huge problem! We are constantly short staffed because people constantly call in sick and are never fired! The customers abuse the "Yes We Can!" policies. Even in my short time I have been abused by customers who don't get their way with screaming, yelling, throwing stuff.

Pros

Pay is very good once you start getting raises. Weekly pay

Cons

Genuinely everything else, the pay is that high because they have to pay you over 25 just to put up with the awful environment. terrible structure, terrible management, no accountability, cliquey mean girl environment. managers are allowed to sit around and do essentially nothing while supervisors carry 100% of the load and there is no checks and balances to ensure management does the right thing. Corporate and HR genuinely don't care if certain people sit on their butt While others keep the business running. Credit card pushing is absolutely Off the Wall insane. Getting enough credit cards is all the company cares about and managers do not help. Managers are allowed to have no history with getting any credit cards at all and corporate doesn't bat an eye. If you try to speak out about anything that's going on you'll just get fired. Retaliation is allowed and encouraged.
