Pros

I was hired by Knight in 2017 as a full time employee. The office is located in a very popular area of Miami Beach near many stores and restaurants. There is a parking garage next to the building for very convenient and fast parking, paid for by the company. Knight is part of a very rapidly growing industry. The work environment is very fast paced and the work day goes by fairly quickly. All departments work closely together to meet company goals and deadlines. I have grown professionally and gained experience that will open my career path.

Cons

I have witnessed unfair management practices. They use the word "disgruntled" a lot to describe anyone that opens their mouth about something wrong that was done to them in an effort to discredit any wrongdoing on behalf of management or the company. A fellow coworker felt harassed by a member of management and when she finally grew the courage to speak up and go to HR, she was immediately discredited and was told that the manager she was accusing was "a very professional family man and he would never do such a thing". She was told that maybe she was just confused and misinterpreting his behavior. She was fired two weeks later. Most employees either quit or are fired within their first year of employment, even employees who are always on time and work hard. If you complain about anything, you're gone.

Pros

Knight is a fairly young company, so it lacks the rigidity that you'll find in most companies that have been in existence for a long period of time. Because they're not set in their ways, management is always open to implementing new ideas and procedures if there is a more efficient/easier way to do things. Everyone in the company is very down to Earth and is always available to bounce ideas off of. Most importantly, because the company is new and is growing, there is a lot of room to grow with the company and move up the corporate ladder. I've worked at several places before landing my current role at Knight, and I am happier here than I ever was anywhere else. I feel very fortunate that I was selected to help grow the company.

Cons

Because it's a young company, they're still developing some of the employee benefits that are available in more established places. For instance, there was no 401K when I first got here, but now we have one (hopefully the company will consider matching employee contributions soon). Traffic can be a bit rough during spring break/ right before holiday weekends because it's on the beach, but its a small issue to deal with in the grand scheme of things.
