Employee discount and layaway still available. Variety of work to do in different departments. If you show that you are motivated, easy to become a department manager (if there is an opening).
Cons
Lack of employees scheduled on the floor. Strictly part-time work force in location. During Christmas only two registers were open at the front-end. No opportunity for full time unless management. Crazy overtime hours during the holidays. Mandatory holiday work schedules. Constantly changing the schedule during the work week. The location that I was in, fired the general manager. They used two managers from other locations before filling the position. Difficult to work when the manager isn't getting a chance to know employees strengths and weaknesses.
