Pros
1. You get to learn a lot and this company has some very capable people you can learn from but you have to be lucky enough to work with them in their team
Cons
I am based out of Qatar and the culture is appalling and here are some examples: 1. The HR Partner (MB) asks for money/loan from the team in a personal capacity at workplace and holds grudges and revokes support if someone says no. This has happened to 4 people so far some have given and some have not given the money. This is pure blackmail. We don't know who to complain to when it comes to this. Global hr has no clue how to manage situations as we already saw a case which was poorly dealt with and the md has no idea how to lead in such situations and he only save himself 2. The leadership team of Qatar has no clue what to do with his team. A manager would be shouting and screaming at a girl in front of him and he would not interfere. Many are suffering as he doesn't do anything for the team's culture unless he comes into picture through escalation to head office. He also blames his team for things that he is responsible for and often puts his team under bus in front of the global team. Most of the time he chooses to ignore issues unless they become big ones 3. There is zero work life balance, despite not being given competitive salaries. You are pressured to work late hours 4. The mental health of the team is in shambles and no one cares (throughout the company) 5. There is no policies in place to figure out workplace problems and no body guides you as the culture is so politicized
