Great for a high school job. It’s a fun environment to work in and there is a “no rules” atmosphere, it’s so disorganized that you can get away with anything. Kimballs can feel like one big family, but it’s a very dysfunctional family.
Cons
New owners took over 6 years ago and are running the business into the ground. They have no experience running a business and every decision they make is based on family drama and politics. The owners hate each other and this has led to about half of the management & long term employees quitting in the last year. The farther you move up the ladder the more you’ll want to leave.
There are huge discrepancies in pay. They will pay new employees twice as much as people who have been there for 10+ years. I was told that I could not let anyone know how much I was making. Management will promise you a raise multiple times and then never give it to you. Managers are expected to work 50-60+ hrs/week in the summer, weekends and holidays are mandatory.
There is no HR which encourages disgusting and widespread sexual harassment. If you are a woman you will have to watch your back.
