Pros

- The company's mission and people are the best I've ever worked with - Remote culture is excellent, along with company benefits - Global org, so working hours are very flexible. - Many opportunities to make a significant impact or wear multiple hats if needed. You know, like other places that are similar to "startups." - For a non-profit, my pay was pretty good.

Cons

- Lately, things have become a mess due to the chaos of their ChatGPT features. All focus has shifted to that, at a very rapid and messy pace that continues. Folks are getting burnt out. Culture is shifting in ways people don't like. - Lay-offs have happened (they label it as restructuring), starting with the Design team. It wouldn't surprise me if more are to come for other departments. All raises, and promotions have been frozen as a result as well. - There is definitely "favoritism" at play here, whether people notice it or not. - Misunderstanding/devaluing what Design's role is. Especially since the folks who were let go were all from Design. - Mediocre severance package

Pros

The people I work with are incredible: brilliant, compassionate, and deeply dedicated to making the world a better place through education. I feel proud of the curriculum we've created and of the high standards we've held ourselves to. Great work life balance, and wonderful support from my manager and director.

Cons

I think it would be great for this company to move to a 4-day work week
