Pros

-Compensation is parallel with top management consulting firms (but comes at a cost) -Ability to get involved with employee resource groups and lead non-billable work

Cons

- Have more economics and legal cases than strategy cases. If you are looking for a place where you can gain a lot of transferable skills, get ownership of your work - this isn't the place for you. - Most associates do verbatim note taking and synthesis. You are not part of all the meetings so you play a tangential role to the team unlike other consulting firms - Associates don't do any modeling, data analysis work as keystone hires specialized data scientists for those roles, unlike other economics consulting firms, where you get to work directly with data tools -Your promotion cycle and growth is largely dependent on how strongly your PDL advocates for you and can get lost in a combination of bad PLs -Senior Management is not well-trained and require you to work long hours with no purpose. -Few senior managers have a lot of power & say - need to be in good books or else can have a bad experience with staffing. a politically driven workplace -People are not nice - toxic work environment

Dear Associate, We are sorry to hear your experience at Keystone has not been what you expected so far. We aim to provide many opportunities for professional development to our Associates, including the ability to own project workstreams, manage data, and grow professionally. We have worked on a variety of learning and development programs to ensure our staff is prepared to lead teams in a way that is both effective and impactful for the firm as a whole and for individual members of the staff. Most importantly, we aim to cultivate a work environment that is supportive, while remaining rigorous in our mission to deliver transformative ideas to our clients. If you aren’t sure who to go to with concerns about your growth, position on a project team, or workload I hope you will reach out to me or the HR team at Keystone. We hope to help make the most of your experience at Keystone. Sincerely, Gabrielle Toledano COO at Keystone Strategy
