Pros

I have been working with Key Technical for a long time and I can say I am proud of where we are as a company today. COVID was hard for everyone and many had to do lay-offs. I witnessed Key look through every single expense they could cut without harming their employees. No one was laid off, no one had a pay cut and there was no drop in benefits. We have been thriving in a remote work environment. Keeping constant communication and virtual meetings to ensure we are all on the same page and still feel like a team. Key has built a team that can rely on and trust each other. Work life balance was always very generous with Key, remote work has only increased those benefits.

Cons

If you don't hold yourself accountable, hit your numbers or complete your expected tasks, you will not last long. The foundation of our laid back culture is trust. It is in trusting that you know what is expected and can get it done that allows the freedom. Those that take advantage of this reveal themselves quickly.

Pros

The work environment is very good as Key Technical Solutions (KTS) is very family-oriented and will always work with employee's to be as flexible as possible in realizing that people have lives outside of work. Employee's are not 'just a number' but everybody is known, and everybody is encouraged to voice their issues and/or concerns - and they are usually addressed in a timely manner. Management is generally quite supportive of the employee's, and this also makes for a good work environment`

Cons

The benefits are good, but due to the different 'business units' regarding contractors vs. direct-hire employee's, things can get a little confusing, and it seems that things can change fairly frequently. The PTO policy could be better, however, the 'flexibility' that is offered tends to 'make up' for this. Because the company is small, there seems to be only 'so high' you can go as far as growth (although for Sales/ Recruiting, commissions are uncapped), but if you're looking for a 'Sr.-Level' or Management role, you will probably not find this opportunity at KTS.
