Pros
- Good bonus - Nothing much to do because decision making are slow and things move very slowly here. - I have worked with both ex and new CEOs. Slogan of "thinking unboxed" will take years to materialise since even the Management team are filled with people who are slow to adapt to changes.
Cons
- Super long working hours (8.30am to 6.15pm) - Very old school. Dont even have instant messenger for the company. Talk about innovation and a collaborative culture! - Senior management are old timers and there is no way you can progress in your career here without being stucked in a level for years. - HR policies which are rolled out are often reactive and non-exciting. This is not a place for young graduates or people with high ambitions. - Each department has their own clique. If you are new, you need to use alot of effort to associate yourself with a clique. - Your boss better like you to progress here. - Yes, educational status is very important here. I wonder why since they are not a Government sector, though it is a GLC. Paper qualification is everything here. Folks with no Degree will find themselves doing worthless jobs and 0 progression.
