Pros

This summer, I have had the privilege to intern at the Kendra Scott headquarters in Austin, Texas. This experience has been incredible thus far and I feel so fortunate to have the opportunity to learn from so many experienced individuals. In just 5 weeks, I have gained more skills from this internship than any course in school could've taught me. In addition to that, I have never felt so welcomed and accepted in an environment like I have here at Kendra Scott. There is never a silly question, request or idea. Everyone is accepting and open to help you achieve your goals and complete your tasks. The environment is so positive, the amenities go unmatched, and overall, it is a breath of fresh air every day I walk in here. I am always so excited to come to work! I would recommend this program to anyone who has a passion for fashion, philanthropy, has a hardworking spirit and is ready to learn!

Cons

Offer more work hours for interns to learn and gain experience.

Pros

Management before new management came in. (Alexa Rico)

Cons

I started at this company at 19 years old and was promoted to a management position within two months under our previous store manager.I loved my job, my team and the work environment but everything changed after new management took over. The environment became very high school like and unprofessional. There were multiple times management would get upset and stop speaking to me for weeks instead of communicating directly, leaving me guessing what I had done wrong. In one of my final conversations before qutting, i was told that covering shifts, reliability, and even KPIs "didnt matter..." only the three pillar courses mattered. One of my final straws was being required to travel an hour and a half away for an offsite event with NO parking instructions and absolutely no reimbursent for gas, mileage, or the towing situation that happened because of it. Both my stylist and I had to pay $400 each out of pocket. Management was intentionally not answering my phone calls because of a grudge I wasn't aware of and rather than receiving any support I ultimately got blamed. Even after leaving this toxic environment, I have experienced unprofessional treatment as a paying customer (which I was taught to provide WOW service to customers not snarkiness) and its disappointing seeing CURRENT stylist being mistreated just because their friends with me. I truly did love this work environment and my experience before management went downhill, but the workplace got so toxic and unhealthy I had to choose to leave.
