Where I had concerns was with upper management and some HR practices. Leadership often lacked transparency and consistency, which affected overall trust. More importantly, the company requested and used a consumer report during an internal process without my authorization. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), employers are required to obtain written consent before pulling a consumer report. In my case, this step did not occur, which I found troubling and not aligned with best HR practices.
While my team experience was positive, the lack of adherence to proper compliance standards and leadership issues left me with a negative impression.
