Pros
- Generally good people / culture. Less ego than other firms / industries. Reason why stayed for 5+ yrs - Attractive salary (up to Principal level) for consulting - Strong push for growth - exciting times as it seems to be working - Smaller scale (1/8th of McK) makes it easier to "change" things; more "startup" feel
Cons
- Perceived as a "Sourcing / Ops shop" in the US. Limits exit options / how you are perceived in the market - Lack of scale and focus in key areas (alumni, external placements, training, various support roles etc) - Less ability to specialize (which keeps it exciting, yet slows down expertise-building, time to promotion etc) - Thought-leadership in distinct areas only (not as broad as larger competitors) - Less "glamour" (for those who need it - although recent offsites in Cancuun / Cannes etc helped) ... and the usual industry-cons: - Lots of travel / average work-life balance - Not every project is exciting (and guess what: the same is true for MBB)
