Pros
- Generous professional development opportunities, including annual scholarships for micro-credentials, postgraduate diplomas, or master’s degrees. - A very welcoming, supportive, and close-knit team culture within College Services.
Cons
- Limited career progression: while new College Services Advisors are frequently hired, there is little opportunity for existing staff to expand their remit or gain the experience needed for promotion, making upward progression to senior roles very difficult. - Lack of genuine workplace social culture: aside from leaving dos or Christmas events, there is little effort made to foster camaraderie outside of day-to-day work, and the catering at these events is often poor and disappointing. - The culture can feel exploitative at times. The College Director expects staff to leverage their rapport with students for information, feedback, or alumni engagement, but this doesn’t always reflect genuine care for student wellbeing.
