Pros

Working from home is wonderful. Most people I work with are really nice and are working for Kaplan because they genuinely want to help people.

Cons

Wow, where do I start. First of all, as I mentioned working from home is nice but it is now used as a crutch for Kaplan to rationalize why wages and raises are painfully low. It's a sad state of affairs in the graduate division as there have been numerous workforce cutbacks over the last couple of years and lean is not a strong enough word for how it is being run. Morale is miserable and it's difficult to trust Kaplan because of the lack of transparency. Instead of focusing on getting students to take our classes, upper management is more worried about cutting costs. Favoritism runs rampant the further up the chain you get and a select few individuals at the top just keep circulating the coveted roles. A majority of "promotions" are lateral and they always find a way to make sure they don't have to pay you much more in terms of salary. It is all so unfortunate because years ago this was an amazing company to have a career with and had plenty of opportunities for upward movement.

Pros

Remote and flexible. Good culture from higher up but team morale is down.

Cons

Turning more salesy than helping students. Too much focus on hitting budget.
