Pros

The work is fully remote and you get to make art while having benefits

Cons

The company has gone through a lot of changes - 6 CEOs in the past 3 years. This review is for the management as of 2023-2024. Upper management seems to feel the need to reinvent the wheel to prove themselves, but never takes workers' concerns into account when making major changes that affect our day-to-day. The least qualified people make the biggest decisions and everyone else has to be silent or risk their job security. Work/life balance is no longer a priority and management will put workers in situations where they must work outside office hours without overtime pay. There is no acknowledgement of the existence of creative burnout. Taking too much time off will jeopardize your job security. Kalisher recently started using flex time instead of PTO, but won't give workers guidelines for how much FTO is too much until it's too late, even though they approved it. Transparency and trust are some of their core values but management is extremely opaque, job security is never a guarantee (I saw 4 rounds of mass layoffs during my time there), and they will put you in situations where you have to lie to save your reputation (ie: asking how workers feel about a new system they're implementing and then firing or serving a written warning to anyone who so much as makes a face). Overall, very authoritarian vibes. Also, the company has very little diversity. Lastly, healthcare was really expensive and the plan gets worse every year.
