Pros

This company had amazing potential. They are trying to change healthcare, which is always admirable, and they're one of the big players in their particular space. The engineering teams have fantastic people on them, and the company had quite a bit of talent. The people team does a fantastic job of making everyone feel included, whether they're a local or a remote employee. The collaboration within and across teams (both in and outside engineering) is excellent! They have a pretty generous tech stipend for a bring-your-own-device policy, as well as a handful of other solid benefits and stipends.

Cons

The executive management has no idea what to do with their engineering talent. There's a reason why this is the third negative review from a former engineer within the past week. The product team and external third-parties have more of a say in the operations of the engineering department than even the VP (no longer with the organization) and CIO (not with the organization much longer). The organization talks of their transparency, however when push comes to shove, there's none at the executive level. In addition, the executive team doesn't buy into their own company culture, leaving them largely removed and disconnected from the organization as a whole. The company is a very data-centric one, however they had no issues getting rid of a majority of their data team for unclear reasons.
