Pros
The work with clients was rewarding. Compensation was on the low side, management acknowledged it. Benefits were ok, health, vision, dental, life, retirement but coverage was on the low end. Some of the people working there are dedicated. Earned leave was compensated when you leave.
Cons
Management doesn't care how they treat their employees. They say they are important - but in reality everyone is always on the edge of being fired. If a problem arises, someone always gets blamed. Image is the most important thing because of the grant and donation money. The Board is hand-picked so they don't make any waves. Management has no idea about the amount of time required to do the actual day-to-day work, so they continually believe that most employees are wasting time and the management continues to bury them in more paperwork.
