Pros
This is one of the best jobs I have had. I really enjoy coming to work each day. It is far from monotonous, and something different every day. The hours are available if you want them, and they will work to find you a permanent location if you want one. This position offers flexibility for employees who can't or don't want to work everyday. They offer shifts to you and if you can't cover it, then you don't have to work it. So yes, you may get phone calls and texts to ask you to work, but that is how this industry functions. Things change in regard to clients needs on a daily basis. If you want additional work, there is the opportunity for overtime too. The company is a small business, so that is a plus. They always have payroll ready on the day it is scheduled for, they will sometimes offer you a gas card to cover a shift from a location a bit further then you would normally travel, and they are accommodating to day off request. I encourage anyone who wants a flexible schedule to check them out. Just remember that most security work involves walking & being on your feet for sometimes long periods and mostly occurs during the evenings, overnights and lots of weekend work. Something everyone should consider before deciding that this is the industry for them.
Cons
None to share, I really do like my job and my employer. I have worked for other companies, both large and small and this feels like home.
